ABOUT Politics for all

Luxembourg's civic community for curious minds

Politics for all is a non‑profit civic association in Luxembourg. We are not a political party and we do not tell people how to vote. We are a space where residents – Luxembourgers and internationals alike – can learn about how democracy works here, discuss public life together, and find friendly, concrete ways to get involved.

OUR MISSION

We believe that diversity is a real asset for Luxembourg's democracy.

Our goal is to ensure that the people who live here, regardless of their nationality, language or background, are not just residents, but participants in the decisions that shape the country.

We do this by creating accessible, multilingual spaces for learning and conversation about politics and public life: visits to Parliament and local institutions, participatory workshops, debates with politicians, and storytelling projects about how people get involved.

What we do

Visits and tours. We take residents inside institutions, like the Chamber of Deputies and local councils, to demystify how decisions are made. No expertise required, just curiosity.

Participatory workshops. We host debates and co‑creation sessions on topics such as local democracy, inclusion, and civic engagement, where everyone can speak and contribute.

Community building. We bring together people from different backgrounds who care about Luxembourg and want to talk about how to make it better – in a friendly, respectful, multilingual environment.

Advocacy and partnerships. We work with political parties, public institutions, municipalities, and civil society organisations to promote more diverse and inclusive political representation, through mentoring, events, and raising awareness.

Our track record

Since our first "Let's demystify politics!" campaign, we have:

  • Organised visits to the Chamber of Deputies and other institutions, attracting hundreds of participants.

  • Hosted workshops on local democracy, European rights, and inclusive participation.

  • Collaborated with partners such as the Ministry of Family & Living Together, Biergerpakt, Languages.lu, LUkraine a.s.b.l., and local municipalities.

  • Engaged a diverse audience – Luxembourgers, foreigners, young people, migrants, and professionals – across multiple languages.

A word on European identity

We also believe in the values of the European Union – democracy, human rights, solidarity, and cultural diversity. Through our activities, we help residents understand how European institutions work and how EU membership benefits life in Luxembourg. This is not about grand speeches; it's about making Europe tangible and relevant to everyday life here.

GET INVOLVED

There are several ways to join us:

  • Come to an event. Most people start by attending a visit, workshop, or debate. No commitment needed.

  • Become a member. For €35/year, you support the community, get priority access to events, and become part of our civic base. If you're considering a future role as a political candidate, we offer a dedicated membership track at €150/year, which includes training and introductions.

  • Spread the word. Tell a friend, share an event, or invite your community group.

  • Partner with us. If you are a public institution, municipality, school, or civil society organisation, we'd love to explore collaboration.
